Abstract

The rise of digital consumption has notably impacted the global entertainment industry in recent years. On one hand, this increases the complexity involved in the products and services offered, but on the other, it presents opportunities for capturing value across various operational fronts. In this context, Marvel Entertainment stands out in its adoption of innovative strategies that significantly influence the sector and the market. This article aims, under the lens of a multidimensional theoretical model based on three renowned frameworks from the literature, to describe, detail, and analyze such strategies. The results highlight that the company, throughout its trajectory, but especially in recent years, has effectively leveraged innovations related to products and the use of technologies; services; processes, distribution, and logistics; cooperation networks; organization; value capture; and marketing; all of which clearly justify its leadership position and rapid growth.
