Abstract

The importance of the intrapreneur for innovation in companies is a topic of growing interest in literature and the market. Therefore, this study evaluates intrapreneurship in the innovation process of a multinational agribusiness established in Brazil. Qualitative and quantitative methodological strategies were combined to encompass the entire management and operational structure of the company. The results demonstrate that intrapreneurship is made up of the dimensions of individual behavior and the company profile that connect with the process of innovation in products and processes, as a business strategy and aligned with the organization's purpose. The discussions contribute to a better understanding of the importance of freedom to create in organizations and to individual perceptions of the consequences of the risk of failure.
