Abstract

In the organizational context, information has been used to add value both internally and externally, in order to guarantee survival and competitiveness. Considered a method, Strategic Intelligence aims to assist organizations in decision-making in contexts of rapid change. This study aims to analyze the Brazilian Strategic Defense Companies (EED) regarding the use of EI and, at the same time, awaken the relevance of this construct in monitoring the environment in order to reduce uncertainties in decision making, which in a practical way can contribute to the organizational performance of companies. The methodology is qualitative, uses a bibliometric research, and data collection is performed through a survey with questions tested and validated in the study by Giacomello (2009). The results allowed evaluating the level of Strategic Intelligence of the companies participating in the research.
