Abstract

This research analyzes the Digital Transformation of the State (TDE) from the perspective of the tax collection of the Tax on Services of Any Nature (ISSQN) in the city of Maceió. The article focuses on surveying the panorama of public management models over time and seeking the concepts involved in TDE with their respective characteristics, identifying elements specific to each phase. With this framework, the collection of ISSQN in Maceió was analyzed in light of the perception of TDE elements implemented in that city, specifically with regard to the adoption of a digital ISSQN management system, Gissonline. Given the incorporation of technology and other TDE elements, we sought to analyze the behavior of collection over a period of time, observing the co-occurrence of these TDE elements with the efficiency of tax collection and public administration. Through descriptive exploratory research with a quantitative approach, collecting secondary data from the databases of the Maceió Finance Department, we conclude that TDE in the city's tax management was positive and still has potential for development.
