Abstract

The transfer of green technologies is essential for sustainability in the agricultural sector. This study evaluates the process of transferring these technologies in Embrapa units located in the Brazilian Midwest, focusing on innovation and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The objective is to analyze the effectiveness and challenges of this transfer, promoting advances in sustainable practices in agribusiness. The research employed a mixed-methods approach, integrating qualitative and quantitative methods. Structured questionnaires were administered in nine Embrapa units, based on the Green Technology Transfer Radar (GTTR), which evaluates 11 dimensions of the transfer process. Data were analyzed using measures of central tendency (median and mode), dispersion (interquartile range), and Pearson correlation. The results indicated positive perceptions in dimensions such as Research & Development (R&D) and Environment, highlighting significant progress. However, gaps were identified in areas such as Integrated Management, Society, and Commercialization. These challenges underscore the need for strategies better aligned with global demands and the specificities of the Brazilian Midwest. The study provides valuable insights for improving the process of green technology transfer, reinforcing its importance in enhancing the sustainability and competitiveness of Brazilian agribusiness. Additionally, it highlights Embrapa's role as a promoter of innovative technological solutions that integrate science, technology, and public policies, strengthening regional and national sustainable development.
