Abstract

Evaluating the sustainability impacts of business models has become essential for companies to transition to a more sustainable and circular economy. Multi-criteria models have been widely employed as an effective approach to assess and rank the sustainability performance of companies across various sectors. This paper conducts a comparative analysis of multi-attribute methods to evaluate the sustainability performance of an oil and gas company. The study addresses the growing significance of corporate sustainability within this sector, employing three distinct methods VIKOR, PROMETHEE, and TOPSIS individually to assess the company's sustainable performance. Results reveal remarkable convergence across the methodologies, indicating consistent criteria pivotal for sustainability within the oil and gas industry. This alignment offers valuable insights into areas of excellence and improvement opportunities for enhanced corporate responsibility.
