Abstract

This paper aims to present the development and evaluation of a chatbot named ANE, developed to act as a virtual assistant for academic support in a higher education institution of SENAC. With the increasing demand for educational information and services, the need for technological solutions to make support faster, more efficient, and accessible has become evident. The study was conducted based on a literature review, analysis of the main questions recorded in the Integrated Academic System (SEI), and the development of the chatbot using the Dialogflow API, a Google platform for natural language processing. The solution was designed to answer questions related to admissions, administrative processes, and general course information. For evaluation, an instrument was applied to a group of users, aiming to analyze aspects such as usability, clarity of responses, and system usefulness. The results indicated good acceptance of the solution, highlighting ease of use, clarity of information, and perception of time savings. It is concluded that the adoption of chatbots in the context of professional education constitutes a promising strategy, contributing to the improvement of support services, expansion of user autonomy, and greater efficiency in institutional communication.
